As unanimously agreed at the Annual Business Meeting and announced during the EAHN 2026 Biennial Conference in Aarhus in June 2026, Léa-Catherine Szacka of The University of Manchester became the new President of the EAHN, alongside Maarten Delbeke of ETH Zürich as Vice-President. Treasurer Paul Bouet of ENSA Paris-Est, Secretary Florian Urban of The Glasgow School of Art, and Communications Lead Fatma Tanış of Delft University of Technology remain in their respective posts.
Together, they will serve on the EAHN Executive Committee for the next two years, bringing their scholarly insights to the network’s governance, collaborating with the EAHN Council Members to shape its future, and contributing to the advancement of architectural history.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Panayotis Tournikiotis for his contribution to the EAHN over the past period, extending well beyond his service as President and Vice-President over the past four years.
We are happy to welcome Maarten back to the EAHN Executive Committee, now as Vice-President. As the founder of our journal, Architectural Histories, and through his many contributions over the years, Maarten has shown a longstanding commitment to the network,lending his extensive experience and strategic vision.
Under the leadership of Léa-Catherine, whose previous service to the EAHN includes her roles as Vice-President and Council Member, we look forward to working closely with our network members, member institutions, and our wider community in the new term and to shaping together the present and the future of our field.
