CFP: Scamozzi and books: 28th international seminar in the history of architecture

The Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio organises a seminar on Scamozzi and books in Vicenza (12-13 June 2015).
This seminar celebrates the four-hundredth anniversary of the publication of the Idea della Architettura Universale (Venice 1615). The goals of the two study days are a deeper understanding of Scamozzi’s treatise as a seventeenth century architectural encyclopedia; and an examination of those texts, richly annotated by Scamozzi, that provided his source material. Contributions (20 minute limit) from scholars and librarians are welcome.
Those interested in participating should send an outline (no more than 250 words) to Ilaria Abbondandolo (redazione@cisapalladio.org) by 15 April 2015. Speakers will be notified by 1 May 2015.
