Call for PhD Research Proposals ‚Cross‐Cultural Conditions and Practices in Architecture and Urbanism
Under the auspices of the Graduate School of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of Delft University of Technology, the research groups ‘Positions’ and ‘Revisions’ of the Department of Architecture supervised respectively by Prof. dr. Carola Hein and Prof. Dr. Tom Avermaete invite PhD research proposals for the (four‐year) Doctoral Program.
The research groups offer a milieu of higher education that integrates specialized competences in historical research with in‐depth knowledge on architecture and urban planning. The groups work along multidisciplinary theoretical and methodological approaches and aim to provide innovative investigations in the fields of the history of architecture and urban planning, as well as of design knowledge.
The Positions and Revisions research groups consist of various junior and senior scholars and offer a challenging environment for gaining research experience and for participation in broader international research debates. The groups provide a methodological and thematic framework to pursue individual research projects. The Positions and Revisions research groups participate in the research program of the Department of Architecture, which regularly organizes conferences and international peer review colloquia.
