Job: Research Assistant, Psychology of Architecture. Technische Universität Berlin
The PhD position lays the foundation for a new research area in psychology of architecture. This includes the preparation of a dissertation at the interface between architecture and psychology, theory and philosophy. The position further develops the knowledge of the psychological foundations of architecture and makes them applicable for planning and design. Psychology of architecture adresses the knowledge of the complex effects of architecture, city and environment on the psychological and physical well-being of humans. Its focus is on the analysis of the intersubjective relationships between humans and architecture, with regard to the emotional, physiological and action-motivating processes of human behavior.
Requirements: Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in architecture and/or psychology. Relevant experience in academic research. Experience in the field of architectural design is also welcome. Very good German and/or English skills (oral and written). Ability to work in a team is required.
