EXHIBITION: Virtual Exhibition: French architects in Berlin in the twentieth century

Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, Paris

The Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine presents since October 2010 some of the resources of its very rich archive of the architecture of the twentieth century in the form of virtual exhibitions visible on its website.
A new virtual exhibition is online: French architects in Berlin in the twentieth century.
The archive gathers several projects of architects, French urban planners or entrepreneurs in Berlin, which correspond to three moments of its history: at the beginning of the twentieth century with the very strong growth of the German capital, at the time of the reconstruction with the Berlin division and the internationalization of its western part, and finally after the fall of the wall. This virtual exhibition is a contribution to the study of the Franco-German relationship.
Art History students from the University of Picardy Jules Verne in Amiens designed this exhibition as a walk through the collection, with a selection of projects and buildings that range from the beginning of the twentieth century to the 2000s.
